Quantum Futures has partnered with an integrated photonics company in California looking for a Senior PIC Design Engineer. This role involves overseeing the fabrication and development of photonic integrated circuits. The responsibilities include simulating and designing PIC components, collaborating with partner foundries, and reporting directly to the CTO.

Your Responsibilities:

• Oversee the full cycle of PIC from blank sheet to production.

• Building relations with Photonics foundries

• Lead the design and simulation of PIC components

• Act as subject matter expert for all photonics development

• Help create a roadmap for PIC development.

Your Profile:

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in the design, and simulation of silicon waveguides and photonic integrated components.

• Maintain a strong interest in Quantum Computation and Communication.

• Demonstrated proficiency in working with various low-loss material platforms.

• Proficient in employing methods for characterising photonic circuits and executing packaging processes.

• Master's or PhD in Physics, Electronic Engineering, or a related field.

• Exhibit outstanding verbal and written communication skills.

• Display a proven ability to work independently.
