Quantum Characterization Engineer

Quantum Futures has been retained by an innovative Quantum Sensing start up in Germany who are looking for a Quantum Hardware engineer to join their team. As a Quantum Hardware Engineer, you will be working closely with a small team of talented founders to advance their innovative projects across both quantum sensing and quantum computing.


Responsibilities:

  • Design, simulate, and implement hardware for quantum sensing technologies such as magnetometers.

  • Develop and implement advanced control and measurement techniques for quantum sensors.

  • Design and develop hardware for signal processing and data acquisition systems.

  • Work closely with scientists, engineers, and technicians to test and validate designs.

  • Collaborate with software engineers to integrate hardware and software components.

  • Prepare technical reports and presentations for both internal and external stakeholders.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field
    PHD or Msc experience in hardware design for quantum sensing technologies such as magnetometers or atomic gyroscopes.

  • Strong background in analog and digital circuit design, signal processing, and control systems
    Experience with programming languages such as Python, MATLAB, or LabVIEW.

  • Familiarity with measurement techniques and tools such as oscilloscopes, function generators, and spectrum analyzers.

  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.

  • Candidates must be eligible to work without sponsorship in Germany.


A suitable candidate would be interested in moving into a quantum sensor development project that will push the boundaries of technology. You will be working closely with the founders where you'll receive strong hands-on experience and mentorship.
