Job Description:


As a Senior Software Engineer - Quantum Networking, you will play a crucial role in the development and implementation of cutting-edge quantum networking solutions. You will work alongside a multidisciplinary team of scientists, engineers, and researchers to contribute to the advancement of our quantum networking systems. 



Responsibilities:


  • Developing software using Python and compiled languages (e.g., C/C++, Rust) to interface with proprietary optics, electronics, mechanical hardware, and third-party scientific equipment.

  • Collaborating closely with FPGA and electronics system integration specialists to enable state-of-the-art quantum network control systems.

  • Creating user interfaces to streamline product demonstrators and measurement control processes.

  • Making proactive and creative recommendations across various aspects of the work, such as improving workflows and system design.  



Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a related field with a focus on quantum information systems.

  • Solid understanding of quantum mechanics, quantum computing, and quantum communication principles.

  • Proficiency in software development using Python and compiled languages (e.g., C/C++, Rust).

  • Experience in interfacing with optics, electronics, and mechanical hardware is highly desirable.

  • Familiarity with FPGA systems and electronics integration will be an advantage.

  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a creative mindset to contribute to system improvements.

  • Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
